If it weren't for the fact that this was the only hotel in Selma that allowed dogs of any size, we would have left that night. If you like a clean room, this is NOT the place for you. The toilet had been used and not flushed (despite the "sanitary" strip across the seat), the garbage hadn't been completely emptied. The alarm clock buttons wouldn't work because they were too gummy from never being cleaned from people using them (they were stuck). There was spittle all over the coffee pots next to the sink, and even though our beds were nicely made, the sheets were full of hair when we pulled them back. We had to ask for a clean set and make our beds ourselves. The beds weren't that comfortable and the pillows were flat. The only good thing is the shower, it has a nice shower head. If you need to stay somewhere with a pet, I would look at staying in a nearby town, Demopolis or Montgommery.
