BED BUG ALERT

This place looked good on first glance. When I checked in the night staff was very friendly and courteous. The room appeared clean. I did not have my pet with me this time (thank goodness), but saw many people who did. It was after I crawled in bed and the lights went out that the trouble started. I felt bugs crawling on me, jumped up, and turned on the lights. BEDBUGS everywhere. I called the staff and they gave me a new room. I had to pack and move all my stuff, in my pajamas in 27 degree whether. Needless to say, it was difficult to go back to sleep. I had to keep jumping up to check for bugs. After I did finally fall asleep, the heater set off the smoke detector. It was a nightmare of a night. In the morning, I told the manager that I wanted a refund. He told me no, that they had moved me to a bed without bugs and there was no reason to offer a discount or refund. Then, in front of other customers, he said "There were no bed bugs for 20 days before you stayed here. Maybe the bedbugs came with you!!!!" Everyone in the lobby was staring at me. It was humiliating. Plus I had to wash all the clothes I had with me in hot water and spray my suitcase with insecticide when I got home. I would stay away from this hotel if you can.
