1. Sometimes the Lowest Price is No Bargain

I didn't mind the place, but my person did. There was not a full time desk clerk, so to check in at 2 p.m. he had to drive us to another Motel, whose personnel said we had to go back to the first motel at 3 p.m. to check in. When we checked in, the desk clerk was firm that she could not give him a receipt, because it was "policy." My person had the impression that if he had just driven in and gotten a room, it would have been cheaper! A safety problem was the doorknob to the room was so close to the door frame that my person repeatedly smashed his fingers closing the door!. Room was clean but to stop toilet from flushing my person had to turn off water to the toilet. Parking was not plowed, so four wheel drive or all wheel drive was a necessity to not get stuck driving into the motel. Room was overpriced. Considering the New Year's Holiday, it was still overpriced. But the heat worked and it was clean.
