1. Great Vacation Destination

The Super 8 Beachfront in Mackinaw City, Michigan is very pet friendly. Dogs are allowed on the beach and in the water, and there is a nice grassy area for getting "business" done. The staff are very nice. We did not check out the pool, and the exercise room is actually in the hotel next-door. The continental breakfast is adequate, and there are several restaurants within easy walking distance. The room was clean and we had a nice view of the lake from our balcony. In Mackinaw City the sidewalks are well maintained, and provide a nice place to walk. The hotel is close to the ferries, (Mackinac Island is very pet-friendly, too!) If you go, be sure to check out Mackinac State Historic Parks which have many pet-friendly attractions and lots of trails for walking. Mackinaw is a great place to vacation with your four-pawed companion.

Friendly staff, within walking distance to everything and it has a beach! The only complaint I have is that the complimentary breakfast room was a little unorganized and hectic but its complimentary so who can complain.

It was neither great pet wise nor bad. The policy was corrected as stated. Service was a bit cold and the beach was a bit on the dirty side. In all it was fine.
