Booked this place on line and wow I was pleasantly surprised how clean and nice the rooms smelled. We had a lovely room and the property is pet friendly and the staff so very nice and accomodating. Laid back and close to food and liquor and my baby was safe and in a wonderful environment. Will stay again.

This place is great, they love dogs, they even have a beautiful pom as part of the front desk staff, very calm clean place, we have 2 small poms and they had a great time, rooms are big and smell really good.

Place was wonderful. Very relaxing. Our Yorkie and Cavachon were thrilled with resort and with Old Town. We will definitely be back. Had no idea place was "clothing optional", but we lucked out and everyone stayed dressed!

We were very pleased with our stay. The room was nicely appointed and clean. The pool area was nice, tropical and everyone was clothed. A couple miles away from Duval and Mallory Square which made it nice to get out of the congestion. Agreat place for our friend Finnegan. Well worth the price

This hotel is GREAT! Their dog policy is 40-50 pounds but please be aware that is NOT carved in stone. My dog is a well behaved 70 pounder and she was allowed. Just call their front desk - they know size does not matter, manners do. I heard them allow a 98 pound canine good citizen so please call and talk to them. Each case above weight retrictions is different. In the Keys - things are very dog friendly so all things are negotible. The hotel was clean, QUIET and close to shopping as well as Duval Street activities. The pool area is nice, the 'beach' area is very well manicured and the staff very friendly. The wall paper in the bathroom left a bit to be desired and there isn't an elevator to the second floor but that's it! No smoking rooms ARE available, all rooms have a balcony for your sitting please with nice views, the rooms come with wet bar, small fridge and microwave, the beds are HUGE and comfy and the bathroom supplies are from Bath and Body Works. Nice! This is also clothing optional but I did not see anyone taking them up on that. No kids under 16, residential area right on the water. Restaraunts right across the street but only continental breakfast onsite (and a good one too)or snacks for sale at the front desk. Just go fetch and bring back to your room, eat on your balcony with a view of the water! I loved it, my dog loved it, I'm going back for a week in December. The room was so big she could pick up speed running around but they are so thick walled she didn't bother anyone with her galloping. I'm sure they will be busier after this rating but they are WONDERFUL! Four Paws!

Relaxing stay

Banana Bay Resort is a nice, quiet resort area that is very dog friendly. The rooms are nicely laid out. The only problem we could find was the wall paper in the bathroom was peeling off. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful with information about the local area and places we could take our 2 Boston Terriers. We will definetly stay here again.

Nice resort wrong week

The room was very nice looking out to the pool and the dogs enjoyed it but the week we happened to be there the pool got closed for maintenance 2 days into the trip. Also one morning they had the chainsaws going right outside the window at 8:00am. Other than that it was a pretty nice resort on the water.
