Beds were comfortable and kitchen was a nice size. The only downside was that the furniture in the living area was dirty; had stains on the arms of the sofa. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay! Very friendly and welcoming staff!

Will definitely return the next time we’re en route to FL. Although the couch was a bit worn, the room was impeccably clean given it’s a dog-friendly hotel, and I’ve stayed in what feels like every hotel along 95 in NC. Bed and pillows were very comfortable as well, and the room was nice and cold and not stuffy when we arrived.

We have stayed many times now at this Residence Inn location. It is very well-suited for those traveling with pets. Perfect location near I-95, restaurants, and great facilities. Friendly personnel and nice rooms. Very pet friendly!! Highly recommend.

As other reviewers mentioned, the Outback is very convenient. We were able to get dinner and eat in the room after 11 hours of driving. There were no issues for our dog staying. The room was comfortable and quiet.

We arrived during a terrible thunderstorm. At our request they gave us a room close to a side door that we could easily access with our stuff and two kitties. They were helpful and positive. The room was clean without animal odor. We appreciate that as we always work to leave our room the same. We appreciate the welcoming and helpful attitude of the staff.

We always stay here when traveling through North Carolina with our Golden Retriever and it works out great. Close to I-95 and right near several restaurants.

This hotel makes it easy to walk my dog without going through the lobby, which I greatly appreciate. In addition, it has a kitchen with a full refrigerator which makes keeping dog food fresh. It's within easy walking distance to an Outback Steakhouse and another restaurant and is very convenient to I-95. This is our go-to on our trip to Florida with our senior Schnoodle. Needs some updating but very reliable and good experience overall.

Had the old fashioned key card that you push in the slot and it was finicky about opening my door. Worked fine on outside door. Also, stairs going to upper floor were above/beside our room and people thundered up and down. It was a convenient location and we enjoyed out stay.

It was a very comfortable room and bed and having a restaurant within walking distance is convenient. We have stayed there 3 times with our Westie. They offer a very nice (free) breakfast. It’s not a 4 or 5 star hotel but it is a 5 bone hotel when traveling with your pup. It stays on our repeat list.

Nice people work here, room was roomy and clean, had good water pressure and a nice kitchen area. Had a free reception that was plenty for dinner, with wine, and the breakfast was decent enough for a buffet.

The room was clean and the hotel was nice. Great setup for letting the dogs out. Convenient to a couple of restaurants and the highway.

Boomer did great in this location. He slept like a baby. The hotel was very peaceful. It is easy to find.
As for the “pet relief areas” well, they are small. One is covered in cigarette butts, and the other is very small and close to the Gateway Blvd. coming in to the hotel’s parking lot. The breakfast was not anything impressive. I tried the scrambled eggs which tasted like they were not eggs at all, and the vanilla yogurt. Not impressed with either. There are bagels, toast, coffee, tea, milk, juice and oatmeal available. The bed was wonderful and the room was great. Overall a good place to stay, and good pet fee ($50). People are very nice here.Couple of tips:
Outback, which is literally one parking lot over will deliver for $8 and a delivery tip. We skipped that and drove over to Cracker Barrel. I told them I had a dog in the car with me, and they said they’d call the name over the loud speaker so I could just get the food…they did not. Food was fair, but nothing to write home about. There is a Mexican restaurant that was packed, but I was not up for that.In the morning I let Angella, the desk clerk know I had an issue with the tub in my room. Immediately she said, "let me see what I can do to make this right for you." When I told her about the cigarette butts in the pet relief area she immediately got in touch with someone to fix that.
Bottom line: good place to rest. It might be better to bring your food. The place has a great kitchen in the room and a nice dishwasher as well. They have a nice small two burner glass cook top and microwave. It is a very peaceful location. It is worth the money.

Dirty everything. Carpet, furniture, walls, and bed linen. Bugs in tub. Kitchen mold, leaks and cabinet floor under sink gone. On first floor, window sash and locks broken and missing. Not secure from anyone entering a 1st floor window. Charge $50 for pet cleaning, but don’t do any extra cleaning. PLACE IS A DUMP!

Room was clean and quiet. We stayed overnight with 2 dogs (lab and a husky). Plenty of grassy areas to walk dogs. Would stay again.

The room was large with a kitchen efficiency (which we did not need) but it was nice for the dog to run around and stretch her legs. The hotel seemed quite old, run down and in need of updating. the water pressure in bathroom sink was very low and the shower and sink didn’t drain well. there is no restaurant on site but an Outback Steakhouse within walking distance.

Room was clean - Nice area to walk dogs with poop bags and disposal can. Requested a first floor room near a side entrance door and was provided exactly what we needed. Traveled overnight from Fl to NJ, stop over in Rocky Mount with 2 Golden Retrievers and a Great Pryeness. Would recommend.

The hotel was very nice, well kept and clean. We requested 1st floor. Management put us on the second floor and we arrived a bit late, so they could not change it. Our old doggie was using elevators. So, I give them three stars.

Very impressed with the friendliness of the front desk staff, clean and remodeled rooms. Very convenient to I-95. Our only complaint (and it's minor!) is the dog walk area has a lot of clover- watch for the bees!
