The hotel was great. The room didn’t have any excessive disinfectant odors making us feel gassed. The room was very clean, great view of the ocean and easy beach access. Would stay here again.

Very nice and friendly staff. My dogs were very welcomed. Just a few suggestions: dog towels for wet dogs, a welcome treat would be nice, sand some hooks in the room to hang leashes. Hotel is a bit outdated but it was very clean and comfortable.

I agree with other reviewers that this hotel could use some updates, but we had a comfortable stay and the staff was quick to accommodate things we needed. The views facing the ocean are great, and our parking was just steps away from the room, very convenient. The beach is a 90-step staircase down, great for taking an active dog to play!

The room was nice. FYI, I was able to get a first floor room, but that still involved stairs. Not a lot of room for dogs to relieve themselves.

The folks at Shilo were so very nice and worked with us so we could check in early. You are right on the beach and we had a great view from our room.

The pet friendly side of this hotel is the old smelly outdated side. There was no convenient place to take the dogs out to potty. No grassy area. And we didn’t have any maid service for the 3 nights we stayed. Restaurants were closed and for lease.

The rooms are sooo old. The deadbolt doesn't work. The fridge is a freezer (watch out yogurt!), the room has a wiff of old dog pee. The very cool thing is that the shower head outputs a blast of water that will get the sand out of your brain, LOL. There is a tiny trash basket. Since there is no turndown service during COVID (which is great) it would be helpful to have a larger bin and have another in the bathroom (I thought that was standard). Watch out if you wear flip flops as the bottom of the room door might try to take a chunk out. Giving it 3 stars because I didn't come to hang in the room but roam the coast. The front desk staff is nice. You get to park close to the rooms (dog rooms are at lower level of main building facing the ocean). Is it worth $250+ a night? Let's just say that depends on how bad you want to spend the night on the coast

Musty odor with damp carpets, Shilo treats a dog owner as a second rate citizen. You can’t open the window more than an inch, the TV is a tube type from the 70s. Junk pillows rooftop view. Shilo needs to completely renovate this wing rather than punish us dog owners with staying in it. Oh, and 30 dollar pet fee for the privilege.

I would say it was ok. We had a view of a roof top and the ocean beyond. The windows were all open when we goth there, We were on the 4th floor which was inconvenient for us. Not enough towels or blankets. It was almost like they didn't finish making up the room.
It wouldn't be a place I would enjoy staying at again.
