Wonderful Hospitality!

We searched google for some pet friendly hotels in Myrtle Beach during the 2009 Christmas season. Me, my husband and our pug Daisy thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were greeted with such a warm welcome at the lobby. No hidden fees or hassles. Very clean with large bathroom and comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again and recommend for anyone with or without pets.

I was so happy to have found this place, and it be all the good things that these reviews said. There was absolutely no extra fees or hassles for bringing my two boxers with me, the hotel was very safe (even for early morning & late night walking), and it was very clean. I'm so glad that BringFido was able to help me find such a great hotel!
 
Great place for dogs

I took my son and his 5 lb dorkie to the La Quinta Inn in SC and was very pleased with the property and the service. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and it was very quiet. Would definitely come here again and will suggest this hotel to all my friends with pets.
 
A Great Way to Start a Beach Vacation

We have stayed here for several years with our little Shelby. They are great about giving you a room next to an exit if you request it, which helps with trips outside. We never leave our pet in the room alone, we would worry she would be nervous in a strange place. We have never had a problem there, it is clean and a good value for the money.

I was very pleased with the La Quinta Inn in Myrtle Beach. Our room was clean and bright with a 3rd floor view of the pool. This was very entertaining to our dog. The staff was friendly and helpful and housekeeping was very accommodating. They have a nice area for walking your dog and plenty of waste recepticals for when your done with your walk. They even made an extra effort to clean up after those dog owners who failed to pick up after their own dogs (amazing!).. I especially liked that there was a water hose out by the pool to rinse the beach off my dog before bringing him back up to the room...This came in very handy!. The hotel is 3 blocks from the beach and about 6 miles from the Bark Park (big dog park with a lake). I definitely recommend this hotel!
 
Very Pet Friendly Hotel!

This was our first time staying in a hotel with both our dogs. We were nervous, but when we arrived and walked in with them, everyone greeted them first and then us, the way we hoped it would be! Check in was a piece of cake. They put us at the back of the hotel near the stairs and elevator for outdoor access which was right at the doggy play area for necessary business. They have poopie bags provided ( we had our own). The room was perfect, spotless and well appointed- a huge bath tub! Check out was just as easy and very friendly. We will definitely stay here again and will tell all our pet friends as well! Way to go La Quinta Myrtle Beach- keep it up!!

We just took a week driving to various destinations along the East coast, and it's been SO wonderful to know that we can stay at LQ without any pet fees or hassles about the size of our dogs. The price was great and the accommodations were good. It's not the best hotel i've ever stayed in, but it was clean and simple and served our purposes. Breakfast has been much better at other hotels.

Great location even if not on the beach, it is a short walk to to the beach through a nice neighborhood to the beach access. The rooms are nice and the staff are the most friendly people encountered in awhile! It was hard to tell who the manager was, they all were all so professional. Thanks for a great affordable visit, $90 for two nights! Thanks again, Dave

After 13 hours driving, we finally arrived at the hotel which we had booked through Bringfido.com; we booked for 3 adults. When we arrived, they didn't have a room for us, and only had it booked for two adults. They only had a room with a king size bed. After some moving around we were able to get a king size + sofa sleeper. The sofa was basically two chairs pushed together. When we arrived in our room (247) the bathroom had not been cleaned; there was someones feces on the toilot seat and rim! We called down to the front desk, they said it would be cleaned up. We left to go to a wedding rehearsal, came back, at 10PM and it still wasn't done. Talked to the night auditor who was very friendly and accomodating. She brought us a cot for the kid to sleep on, and came to clean the bathroom herself. She talked to us about our rate (which they had wrong) and said she would adjust it down for the inconvenience for both nights we were to be there. We were quite happy with that solution as she was very very friendly and apologetic. The cot they gave us, broke as soon as my son sat on it, so next morning, down we go to talk to the actual manager. She too was very apologetic for our problems and before I could say anything she informed me they had not charged us for the first night. I was shocked and very pleased at how well they took care of us. They sent up a new cot and we had no further issues. The dog area is quite nice, and well taken care of, however the doggie bag dispenser was always empty. They did provide them at the front desk when we asked. The hotel isn't a 5 star, and i think barely makes it 3, but the staff make up for what the hotel itself lacks. It is definitely showing its age. All in all, great management, and with all they did they went' from 0 bones to 4. We would stay here again if we had to, but I'm not so sure it will be our first choice.

My wife & I had an excellent Easter Holiday. 2 blocks from the beach was very convenient for us - BG really loved the ocean. Bark Park was close by as well as great shopping, restaurants & night life. The room was clean with comfortable beds. The staff is very friendly & accomodating. My wife's father lives in SC so we are thrilled to have found such a nice hotel. Very affordable & great location. We will stay here again.

The hotel does a great job. There were lots of dog lovers in house and everyone was feeling well taken care of. Good spaces to walk the dogs however, it would be nice if everyone picked up after their pet! Dog bag dispenser empty but garbage nearby. Would be nice if all available lights in dog walk area were lit for the late night and early morning walks. Hotel works very well and prioritizes pet stays on ground floor. Will definitely return with fido.

This was the best vacation we've ever been on. We've been all over - but have never taken a real vacation with our two dogs. The staff was wonderful - and even offered to check in on our dogs or call if they made noise. But there were no problems. La Quinta is right across the street from Broadway on the Beach - an "outdoor mall" featuring many stores and wonderful chain restaurants. I think it is too far from the beach to walk. Highly recommend a trip to Bark Park - an 11 acre park - all fenced - with a large pond in the middle. My 9 month old German Shepherd loved it! My 9 year old mixed breed enjoyed it as well. And my husband enjoyed reading in the sun. We came off season - in December. But the shopping was great - pre-holiday. And the locals were really glad to see us. Be sure to take the dogs to Barefoot Landing, which allows dogs on the walkways of this shopping center. Perhaps we'll bring "the boys" back in the summer.

The hotel is very clean. You would never know that dogs are allowed. My pet had a great time. The staff was wonderful with him. I would recommend it to anyone who has a housebroken and well behaved pet. The staff will remove a barking dog from the room if it is left alone to be considerate to other guests.

It was on a recommendation of a La Quinta frequent guest that we try this hotel for our first try at a beach trip with our 2 small dachshunds. I can only say GREAT! Everyone we met from the desk to housekeeping was friendly to all of us. Places to walk the dogs and relieve themselves. So many people their had dogs it was like a big reunion. We will now be willing to try several other locations. There was no smell in the room but the carpet had old stains and the chair a little rip. Other than that the place was outstanding. There are 3 good places to eat in walking distance. Good showers! We'll definitly be back!!
