Very Happy
Julie in Brooklyn
Clean, friendly, nice place for the dog. We stayed twice and both times were great. Our beds were comfy.

many doggie friends
Laury in Scarborough, ME
The hotel was as advertised. I was pleased at the quality of the rooms and services offered. There were many dogs here, and we got to converse with other pet-loving travelers. If they had poop bags and trash barrels outside, I believe the problem of pet waste would be reduced. We carry our own, but not so for all dog owners. The hotel was certainly accommodating to all.

Great stay with pet!
Chris in Manassas
Loved the fact that there was no pet fee or hassle over the size of our dog. Although I wouldn't consider this stay pricey -- in fact, our stay was LESS than what our rate was quoted on the BringFido site. We expected to pay a total of $73.93 (which I still don't think is pricey), but we were only charged $55.70, so we were VERY pleased. I do agree, however, that I was appalled by how many people couldn't be bothered to pick up after their dogs. It's part of the responsibility of dog ownership, people!

LQ is doing a great job!
Jamie in NY
We just took a week driving to various destinations along the East coast, and it's been SO wonderful to know that we can stay at LQ without any pet fees or hassles about the size of our dogs. This LQ was a little pricey, but it was a Saturday night and the accommodations were good. It's clearly owned by a family that takes pride in their hotel. Parking is tough (we got in really late), but we were able to make a spot along a curb with no issues. My only complaint it NOT the hotel's fault: many people didn't clean up after their dogs. My fear is this will ruin a good thing for everyone. Please be responsible and pick up after your dogs!!!

Good place to stay with big dogs
Hendrix in Harrisonburg
We brought two 50 -60 pound dogs to the hotel without any issues. The staff was friendly but not dog people. Overall this was very much like a Hampton inn that allowed dogs. Not luxury but more than adequate.

Good for stopover
Matt in Long Island
Hotel is good for what it is. It was clean, no extra charge for dogs, and had no problem taking my 2 65lb pit bulls. Decent area to walk them if you go down the street. Only complaint is that we were on the 2nd floor, which isn't a big deal. Just strange when all the room doors are inside. You would think the dogs would be on the first floor instead of taking the elevator. But for a simple stay over, I would recommend this place. I stayed twice, on the way down to Florida and then again on the way back up.

Nice for the dog, but not for me
Bryan in CT
The hotel it self was a nice clean place. Absolutely no isse with having a larger dog. Check-in was very smooth. The issue I had was that the beds had the cheapest, lowest quality mattress I have ever slept on in a hotel. You could feel the springs poking you. As for the waste removal, I am amazed at how many dog owners do not bring their own bags for clean up. It might be to the hotel's advantage to provide bags to make everyone's stay a little better.

glad I only stayed 2 nights
N. in Norfolk, va
In general, the hotel was really out of date and there was not much around it in the way of restaurants, shopping, etc. The room LOOKED clean, but I am not so sure about it. The sheets on my bed were tattered and frayed on the edges and there was a dubious stain on one of the sheets! Again, PROBABLY clean and the stain just didn't come out in the laundry, but it was kind of gross. Breakfast was okay; although the proprietor reprimanded one of his employees within earshot of the guests during breakfast and he also through empty boxes at her screaming for her to take them to the dumptster. It was just really unpleasant. I am just so glad that I stay only 2 nights and I won't be returning on my next trip to Richmond.

Oops a typo
N. in Norfolk, VA
I just posted my review and I realized that I had a typo in my review. I wish they would let you review your review before it goes live! I meant to say that the proprietor THREW boxes at his employee, not THROUGH. Oops! After thinking about it I also decided to change my rating down to 2 bones.
