Front desk concierge were extremely unpleasant and unfriendly. Once I checked in, I removed the sheets from one of the beds and hold and behold there was a bloody comforter. We were moved to another room with just an apology and a refusal to give us some sort of discount. Second room we checked into smelled like mold and was right next to the ice machine which was extremely loud. The next day we were greeted by two roaches upon entering the room. The pool was terrible. It had been shocked during the day - we asked if they were going to open it and the concierge gave a nasty remark regarding having to wait two hours. We waited the two hours and upon opening entering the pool area the chlorine smell was sooo strong it could have burned your nostril hairs. One of the workers was there and said, ”Go ahead jump in, it’s safe.” We left. Overall, the stay at this hotel was terrible for the amount of money they charged, definitely do not recommend it.

Traveling with my dog is always a bit more difficult. Through BringFido, I was able to find the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel and we loved it. The hotel was nice, clean, and staff was super amazing and friendly. There’s pet relief areas around the hotel with poop bags available. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stopped here for the night while traveling up north for Thanksgiving. This hotel had no hot water when we stayed here! The night we checked in my daughter had to let the water run for 30 minutes before it got warm. The next morning I let it run for 45 minutes and still no hot water! So we weren’t able to shower before we got back on the road. When I brought it to the attention of the manager all he had to offer were excuses. He went on about how the water heater was on the roof and if we were on a higher floor we wouldn’t have had that problem.
But he knew it was a problem! Even the check in girls knew it was a problem. I explained to them that they should let people know ahead of time because we were now running behind schedule waiting on the hot water that never came. What I was looking for was an apology from the manager with the purple hair not a lesson on how water pipes work which I could’ve gotten from my husband that designs indoor fire sprinkler systems. Geez!! I gave it 2 bones because the grill restaurant was nice. And our waitress Holly had the best customer service skills ever!! And the food was good. I highly recommend the shrimp wraps and the chicken wings with the strawberry jelly! Sounds weird but TRUST ME it’s delicious!!

This was my first time in a family vacation with our dog. This hotel was great and people very dog friendly. plenty of areas to walk your dog and super convenient location. It's really close to the beach but since you cant bring your dog to main VB during peach season, we went to First Landing 15-20 mins from the hotel. We had a great time and definitely will come back again!

We absolutely loved staying at this DoubleTree and would again. You do have to sign a pet agreement at check-in with several conditions (like not leaving the dog alone in the room), and there is a $50 fee, but they were very welcoming to our dog who is 70lbs. There is plenty of grass around the area for walks and potty breaks. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way is they really try and sell you on eating at the restaurant onsite, but the restaurant doesn't allow dogs (only service dogs), meaning you'd have to leave them in the room alone if you wanted to eat there, which is in the agreement that it's not allowed... Not really a big deal, it just didn't really make a ton of sense to me. If they allowed all dogs on the patio, that would be awesome. But we still had a great time and appreciated being able to have our beloved pup comfortably travel with us.

Property is very nice and clean and modern. Rooms are immaculate and comfortable. Our dog was welcomed and felt right at home. Check in process was smooth and fast. Pet floors are 3 and 4 and our doggo enjoyed meeting other 4 legged friends. There is green space around the property for walks/potty. Will definitely come back.

Large dog friendly with a welcoming staff. They chatted with us every night and gave treats. Pretty hotel that has a dog potty area as well a restaurant on site w room service. Rooms are a bit dated but clean and comfortable. 4 minutes to beach.
