    Poor Boarding situations

    Boarding situations
I brought my two dogs there to be boarded for eight days when I went on vacation
my Yorkie who doesn’t play well with others and doesn’t really like a lot of people my Chihuahua mix Buddy Does so he could go to the doggie daycare while Wyatt could not
I called every day to check on them I asked them to give Wyatt some love and attention because he couldn’t play with other dogs. I asked them every day to please love on Wyatt when I pick them up after eight days boarding Wyatt had a tick on his back as big as my little finger nail which means it was there for while ( he is on flea and tick med but somehow it didn’t work) and his eyes were matted Which means no one even pet it is back to feel ` and he has short hair I just got them groomed before I dropped them off and they smelled terrible, the stench was so bad when I pick them up they weren’t taking care of!!!it was expensive which I don’t mind paying at all if they would’ve taken care of my dogs I will never take them back there I suggest nobody take leave their babies down there I’m very sad and upset with the service!!!I give them no bones

    UNSAFE

What happened to my dog at Kritters and how it was handled is completely unacceptable. When I picked my boy up I was told that two dogs ganged up and attacked him earlier in the day. I wasn’t called when he was hurt and was told in passing that he was attacked unprovoked by two dogs one of which had recently caused another dog to require stitches and was not supposed to be with other dogs. I called the owner who was unconcerned. I asked if this dog would be allowed to return. The response was “Yes he is”. I was not able to see the extent of his injury until I got him to the vet and his throat was shaved. I drove to the daycare from the vet hoping to show the owner how bad it was and see if she would now take it seriously. I was told she wasn’t there. I asked them to have her call me asap and text her photos of my dog’s injuries. She read my text right away and had ZERO response. The vet let me know that it was undoubtedly an aggressive attack based on the fact that the dog “went for the jugular”. I let the day go by and text the owner again. This is now the 3rd time I reached out to her with no word from her….no attempt to check on my dog, discuss what happened, provide a solution or apologize. She tried to blow off my text but when I pressed her she made several excuses and said that it was my dog’s fault for trying to hump another dog (my dogs are very docile and have never had a problem with another dog), that the dog had never attacked anyone and he was “just playing” when he caused the other dog to need stitches, and that her dogs “get marks” at daycare all the time, “no big deal”. MARKS? Just playing? My dog has a full thickness puncture wound through his throat. It was clear that she was just going to continue to make excuses. This is the 3rd time my dogs get hurt there (this the most serious). A month ago my other dog got a piece of her ear ripped off. I shouldn’t have ever taken them there again after the first time but try to be understanding. This is now showing me that the owner is unconcerned with safety. If she was, she would have called me right away, checked on my dog, and banned the other dogs who attacked him knowing there is a previous history of this type of behavior.
