  Friendly, but not prepared for pups

  We called the Sixpoints location to confirm dog friendliness and the person answering had to put me on hold to ask the manager who confirmed we could have our dog on the patio.
  The patio has three cement tables and benches, one of which has the world's dinkiest umbrella for shade. Luckily it was cloudy when we went!
  Be aware that you have to go inside to order, so if you're a single person and a dog you'll have to tie them up while you decide what you want. When we ordered our breakfast I asked if they could also bring out a bowl of water for my fluffy baby and they said they didn't have a dog bowl, that they'd lost it, but would bring out a cup of ice water for her.
  The food was fine and the staff was nice, but I don't feel like a place with no water bowl and a sliver of shade can call itself dog friendly.

  Great outdoor patio with tons of seating. The staff were wonderful and quickly brought over a clean water bowl filled with ice to keep our little one cool.

  The breakfast for our party of four was spot on and the coffee was wonderfull. A great gen of a place that Corpus should promote more. We will be back each time we visit from North Texas.

  There appears to be some confusion about which of three Hester's is the dog-friendly one. Today we took my two dogs to 1714 Alameda (at Six Points) hoping to get coffee (for three of us, not the dogs).
  "Only service dogs allowed. Try the Doddridge location." We did, and it is wonderful. The patio could have more shade, but it still rates five bones. Our party was greeted with a dog dish of cool water. One of us had coffee, one had breakfast, and one had lunch.
  All great! Hester's at the Art Museum is a regular stop for my visitors, and now the convenient Doddridge location will be on my list, especially if I need to take my dogs along.

  Great Food

  The food here is excellent. I'm only rating it a 4 because the outdoor area didn't have a lot of shade and it was a really warm day. Otherwise the service the great. They acknowledged my pup, and everyone was really nice.

  I try a new item every time I go, and they are all my favorite so far. You will not be disappointed.
