      So Welcoming! Loved It!

      We visited Winchester’s on a Sunday night when there was live music. They were so accommodating to us with our English Bulldog. We had a server and also a trainee server and both went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. All of us were happy with our food. It was a lovely and relaxing night on the patio. There were heaters and the view was nice, onto Main Street and the old theater and library. Will definitely come again, and we recommend it to everyone!

      Horrible Manager

      Today was a warm and beautiful day for a walk in Downtown Ventura. We decided to stop a Winchester’s for a snack and a couple of cold beers. When we ask if we could be seated in a spot out to the way where our 90lb Golden wouldn’t get in anyone’s way. The manager with the red beard was rude and told us no not if we wanted to sit with our dog. Then he tried to show us to a table way in the back of the crowded patio. His attitude needs an adjustment. This isn’t the first time we have to deal with his rudeness. He clearly doesn’t like dogs and it shows. If he doesn’t want dogs on his patio then he needs to make a policy change. I don’t recommend this place for anyone with or without a dog.

      Fun, country atmosphere, decent food

      Wide variety of food and comfortable, low-key atmosphere. Doggo was welcome on the patio and loved on by the staff. Overall, a decent dining experience for all. A nice, big, water bowl for pup was just outside the entrance to the restaurant. Not too super fancy, not too casual. Just right.

      great food, great atmosphere....

      My husband and I came here on a Thursday night... got seated right away. Plus, they allowed us to bring our fur baby on the patio!!!
