Entry Requirements

Complete the following entry requirements to travel to Croatia with your pet:
  • Pets must be identifiable via a microchip implanted before the pet receives their rabies vaccination.
  • Pets must be at least 105 days old and be vaccinated against rabies. Wait 21 days after the vaccination is given to travel to Croatia.
  • Travelers from the U.S. will need to obtain a health certificate from an authorized veterinarian. The health certificate needs to show proof of the rabies vaccination, include a written statement of the owner or person accompanying the animals, that the animals are not subject to movement that has the purpose of sale or transfer of those goods and a document stating that the animal arrived, either directly or through Croatia from a third country.
  • Travelers from Europe can use an EU Pet Passport in place of a health certificate.

Quarantine Information

Pets being transported into Croatia are not required to be quarantined if they meet all the necessary requirements listed above.
