  • Animals must be fitted with a valid ISO-standard microchip.
  • Before you travel, check which Category country you are arriving from. This will determine which vaccinations are required and quarantine details. A category breakdown can be found at the above link.
  • Dogs and cats being transported into Singapore from Category B, C, or D countries must have a valid rabies vaccination supported by vaccination records. • Pit Bulls, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Bulldog and crosses of these breeds are not permitted to enter Singapore.
  • Obtain a dog license, starting at $15, before you apply for an import license. There is a step-by-step guide to apply for a license at the above link.
  • Book a pet inspection via the Intelligent Food Approval & Safety Tracking System (iFAST) five days before you arrive to avoid an S$80 fee. If you're flying to Singapore, this inspection will take place at the border control office located at Changi Airfreight Centre.
