    Great location

Free parking and tons of it
Good lookout point over the water right off the bat
Short scenic walk to the beach which is pebbly/sand and a nice stretch of beach
Seating on concrete steps available at beach
Dogs on leash but saw some good boys off leash swimming after their toys
Saw some more walking trails that looked nice, I'll be going back to check them out!

    Great Views, Long Hiking Loop

Went here Oct-31-2021 with my dog, gf, and her brother. Hiked out to the Pointe and then went left to end of the beach area, onto a trail that brings you back to Marina Park. Nice walk along the boardwalk, be sure to stop at the Gavelson General Store for some great cooked-to-order Chinese food! Usually there are some locals there who live on their boats. They have some great stories to tell while you’re eating at the outside tables. The entire loop takes about an hour if you’re walking at a good clip. Longer if you stop to enjoy the sights (large painted oil tank across the bay, boats at the docks, Vietnam memorial, small shops, etc).

    Lots Of Space

As previous reviewers mentioned, most dogs are off leash despite a leash law. When the park isn’t crowded, my pup and I love coming here to walk and play. There’s nice green grassy areas to play as well as paved trail to Squantum Point. At low tide you can walk halfway out which is pretty nice. Lots of trash left behind by other visitors knocks off 2 stars, unfortunately.

    There are better parks

Pros: The water is great for pups who love to swim. Great view.
Cons: people fish at this beach and leave trash, fishing hooks, used bait, etc. behind making it a terrible place for dogs who like to pick up and/or try to eat everything. Most dogs here are off leash.

    Not safe for small dogs

There is a leash law in this city but if you come to this park you will see that it is not enforced. I was the only person who had their dog on a leash. Many of the dogs tried to come up and grab my small dog. Very scary and will not be coming back. Owners do not seem to care. I wouldn't even consider bringing small children here.
