San Miguel River Trail

San Miguel River Trail is a dog-friendly route in Telluride, CO. This 6 mile out-and-back path is an easy route which follows the San Miguel River through the length of town. Leashed dogs are permitted to walk with you and can cool off at number of swimming holes along the pathway. Hikers will find best conditions from March to October, but the trail remains and year-round favorite for locals and visitors alike. Visit Website

GREAT TIME
My parents and our (4) four legged members had a wonderful time on the River Trail. Had a picnic prior and then walked to the Gondola. Great spots to walk into the water for the little ones to enjoy everything around them!
So many locals with their furry family members along the way! One thing to note, many locals do have their dogs without leashes. The rules of the trail are to have a leash. Many of the furry friends are friendly but just know.
GREAT WALK! very level walking....right against the mountain! Plenty of doggie bags along the way!!!
