Good sniffs, weak on dog security

While Milo appreciated the trees to sniff in the dog area here, we won’t be back until the outer gate of the entry area is repaired so it doesn’t swing open. Thank goodness I leashed him inside the play area!

    Small

It's a shame that the Park has so much acreage and only allotted such a small portion for the Dog Park....not to mention that you have to walk a country mile to get there [for Seniors with disabilities, this is an issue]

    Break Time

Driving from Kansas City to Chicago needed a place for my Aussie to stretch her legs. The dog park was on the small side but large enough for her to run after a ball and take care of her business. The dog park was located in the NE corner with water located outside the gate. The restrooms were well maintained and the path allowed the humans to get some exercise too.

    Awesome Park

The pet area was fenced and very well maintained. There are several pine trees for the dogs and a bench for owners. There were a few toys and two bowls with water for the pooches. They also have bags and a trash can so you can clean up after your dog. The entrance to the doggie play land has a double gate so there is extra security. The human side of the park is beautiful. There is a huge field across from the dog portion so you can play soccer, Frisbee, or baseball/softball. There is also a water spout with fresh water for dogs and humans in this area. They have volleyball nets, basketball courts and a nice playground for kids. The park itself has a nice large paved sidewalk that navigates the perimeter. I was very impressed and will definitely be taking my family back.

    Broken fence

The dog park desperately needs a new fence. My medium size dog slipped out underneath the fence in the back very easily. Extremely disappointed and will never go back.

    Great

Fantastic! Free (no registration required). Very well kept. Fenced in area was shaded and had a bench. Playground for children looked nice. Bathrooms were clean! Lots of parking. Was in a residential area, so it was quite. Love it, will be back soon!
