    The rules are grey

There are signs posted that dogs are allowed leashed in certain areas and not in others. Still it seems like people were doing whatever they pleased and as long as you were well behaved and nobody cared then so be it. I carried my dog up the exterior stairs and as long as we didn’t enter the interior of the monument it didn’t appear as though we were breaking any rules.

    Cool to visit with pup.

Beautiful Monument to perhaps our greatest President. Great exercise climbing the steps for a beautiful photo op. of the National Mall

    Dogs not allowed at monuments.

The park is cute, but when we got there only Service animals are allowed at all the monuments. Still worth the trip to see everything.
