    Great Park but mostquitos...

My first time at the park. Nice Park. The beach is there and the have two sections. one for big dogs and one for small dogs. Today is 4/22/23 and not a good time to go. The mosquitos were relentless and super aggressive. It was hard walking around trying to get away from them. Could not stay there as long as I planned. It was terrible but the park's fault. It's just a bad time to go.

My dog had a lot of fun!

Nice area, clean, & my dog loved it. Be kind of cautious if you go though, there were a lot of small aggressive dogs there. I think at least 5 dog fights happened while I was there. (nothing too serious thankfully)

What a wonderful find for Nugget & Me

Thank you for this wonderful dog-friendly beach! I've been several times and I'm impressed with the owners--respectful, conscientious and in control of their dogs! Accidents are promptly picked up and the place is awesome!
Is it possible that the hours could be modified or extended? I'd love to come after work through sunset with Nugget: maybe the hours can accommodate everyone with 3 days from 8-3 and 3 days from 1-8 during the summer? Although I don't know the reason for the 3 o'clock closing, if this change is possible, I'd be willing to pay extra if cost is an issue! Thanks! This is a great place and we love it!

Great Dog Beach And Bark Park

Nice small section of beach for pups clearly sectioned off by lifeguard towers with two large dog parks off the beach. Hours for the dog beach are posted and listed online. Parking is very reasonably priced for beach parking in the area.

    beach, great place for dogs

the desc is correct as of Jan 4 2020. 'Dogs are also welcome on the beach, near lifeguard tower #3, seven days a week from 8am-3pm. This portion of the beach is directly across from the bark park and also accessible through parking lot #3 and #4.'
i saw pits and pit mixes. they were welll behaved, one got a little unruly and the owner took him for a time out and came back later. all the owners monitored their dogs, little dogs and big dogs all got along the shoreline was shallow so was good for first time swimmers. park rangers kick all the dogs out at 3 pm. this is a very small portion of the the beach, once the dogs left there were only a handful of people on the entire beach. doesn't make any sense to boot the dogs at 3pm. working people need to bring their dogs after work

    Maintenance Spray Round Up

Haulover Dog Park maintenance spray the deadly pesticide Roundup under every tree/bush and shaded area in both the large and small dog park areas. I witnessed the spraying and saw the container in the maintenance workers golf cart. It looked like a blue spray paint. I saw it under every tree and grass areas near picnic tables and shade areas where dogs lay down. I will never go back to Haulover - management could care less.

    My pups love Haulover

Wanted to post a review as I see some inaccurate ones on the feed.

Dogs are indeed allowed on the beach during prescribed hours.

There are fenced areas for small and large dogs.

    There is plenty of parking.

If my shitzus didnt enjoy sticking their noses in the sand I would be there every weekend.

    Love it.

    Super Clean!

If you’re from Miami you probably know it isn’t the most dog friendly, especially it’s beaches. After going to the dog beach in Key Biscayne we were hoping this one would be better, mostly cleaner. It was all we hoped for and gave us a space to have fun on the beach with our pup! Luckily not too many people have brought their aggressive dogs because it’s not fenced in like a dog park. I personally dislike dog parks because of other dog owners but have been able to enjoy my time here!

The best place for our pets

This past weekend was the first time I had gone to a dog beach and I fell in love with it. It was so nice to see all those dogs running around having a blast with all their playmates!! We had a wonderful experience and would recommend it to everyone who has pets and want to enjoy and spend time with their four-legged friends! :)

    amazing ❤️

I don't know why some people have given 1 bone rating, this dog beach is the BEST I have yet to see in the Miami area!!! I love this beach, sand is amazing and clean, water is clean and clear! I live way closer to key biscayne and it is disgusting over there. My dog absolutely adores this beach, and right after he gets a good old shower since there are hoses right before you enter the beach which is perfect!! LOVE LOVE LOVE! First time I went I went three weeks ends in a row!

Dogs on the Dunes - Dog friendly beach

Not sure why people keep on posting that this park doesn't allow dogs in the beach. Park description above is accurate, also if you want to double check the information be sure to follow the official miami dade county link or the comments posted by Bruce and Veronica. The experience was fantastic my dog loved it. All the dogs were Off-Leash in the dog beach friendly area. All pet owners were responsables picking up after their dogs and double checking their dogs while playing and swimming. Wonderful day at the beach paying only $2. My recommendation is to go first to the Bark Park so your dog socialize a little and drain some energy before getting to the beach area. That works for me (my dog) very well.

    No dogs on beach?

I am really sad they do not allow dogs on the beach here. Miami and Fort Lauderdale need to open up more dog friendly beaches. I came to this place for the main reason of bringing my dog on the beach and it is not allowed. :((((

    My dog loves this place

The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 bone rating is bc you can't bring dogs on the beach. It is very clean and my dog loves the space. Its never crowded and the dogs who visit are friendly.

New dog park at Haulover Beach Park

Dog can now run leash free at the new dog park at Haulover Beach Park. There's dog/people drinking fountains, pooper scooper stations and separate enclosed areas for small and large dogs to run leash free. What a great place for a dog park. You can't beat the beachside ambiance.
