    Agg restive little dogs

We've been to this park with good experiences before or I would give 1 rating. We had just entered the parks and 6-7 small dogs rushed my dog yapping and nipping. Not a single human made an effort to stop them. We left immediately. Terrible.

    Poor maint

I've been coming to this park since it opened. but they fail to fix broken pipes in a timely manner, and do not maintain the weed growth; this causes health issues for many of the dogs. Lately it has smelt like a cess pool and I will not take my pets anymore. Can I send the vet bill to the city?

    Great Park for the Pups!

This dog park, as well as the park that encloses it, is top notch. It is in a seemingly safe part of town and the park sits nicely at the corner of two of Sierra Vista's main roads. There is a large dog area (35 pounds and over) and a small dog area (under 35 pounds). However, many times there are smaller dogs in the large dog area, which has never been a problem! In both areas there is a covered concrete area with a couple of benches and water fountains for the pups. For southern Arizona there is quite a bit of grass and a few trees, too! It is a great area for dogs to play together and a good size for them to run around. There always seems to be a couple of tennis balls that people lose or forget there, which is convenient if you forget yours at home. During the winter, when the temperature gets into the 30s in the evening, the water is shut off, so make sure to bring a jug to pour into the bowls. Of the many times I have been there I have only ever witnessed one aggressive dog and only saw him there once, but this has nothing to do with the park's quality.

    Bad dogs or Bad owners?

A few dog owners fail to keep their dogs under control with the other dogs creating an unsafe environment. Return often enough and see it for yourself.

    Great Park!

Plenty of room for dogs to run, with separate areas for large and small dogs. Watering stations as well as seating for humans is available.
