    Massive sized dog park!

Our first time here and was impressed with the size of the park! Plenty for every pup to do whatever pleases them. From agility to fetch or even if owners wanted to get a walk in while their dog mingles, sniffs etc! Park runs off donations and provides rain runoff barrels to collect water for the pups, porta pottie for owners etc.

Only negative we saw was postings of car theft in the area but all was fine for us.

    Great park

I wanted to update the previous reviews. Grand view now does have gates and high fences are pubs the perimeter of the park. They’ve been working on adding all this over the last couple years. So for those who were concerned before about low fences or no gates that has been fixed. It still has a beautiful view of Rainier and tons of space. They’ve even fenced in the pit on the edge that fills up with rain water so the dogs can go swimming officially now-without worry they can take off or bolt. This is my favorite park near Kent and I wish I still lived close enough to go multiple times a week. Do not leave valuables in your car or in sight in your car. This is a smash and grab friendly location due to the park being so large your car is out of sight from the road and the park.

    Awesome Park

Great park to take your pets. I have 2 pugs who loved it. They do provide poop bags throughout the park. Trash cans handy. And lots of shade and sitting areas for the people. The bad part is that not many of the water fountains work. They do have a small agility park as well. I would recommend this park for bug and small dogs.

    in love with this park

Recently moved here and have only been to French lake dog park but boy am I glad I came here. Wonderful park. Love the gravel walking trails makes my boy feel like he is on an adventure rather than just a big boring fenced in yard. It’s so big you couldn’t tell if there were 10 or 50 dogs. So much more to do than your average dog park. the view is incredible, on a sunny day you can see mount Rainier. Definitely will be coming back here it’s worth the extra drive. Fences are low I wouldn’t recommend for small dogs who could easily slip under a 2 rail wood fence or any dog that doesn’t have decent recall.

    No Gates

We kept hearing how GREAT this dog park was and we really need to get our dog there. We finally made the trek this afternoon, and while it is really big and spacious, plenty of room to run, and yes, there is fencing, there are NO GATES, it's not securely enclosed. Unfortunately, this was not the dog park for our dog who bolts out the front door at every opportunity and doesn't come back. It was also extremely muddy, and yes, it's the tail end of winter, but our biggest let down was that it was not enclosed. If that's your concern, Cedar River Dog park has double-gates to get your dogs in and out of!!

    Pretty Good Park

Lisa makes a lot of correct points, but given the size and views make this more 5 bone park, than 2 bone. This is one of two S.O.D.A.'s off leash parks. the other being Marymore. Yes, it is muddy in winter, but I think this is a function of all the use. S.O.D.A is making improvements as it budget allows. It has an agility course, a large sandy field, and grassy areas. The park is mostly 99% fenced, but not the entrances, and many of the fences can be cleared in a single bound, so if you do not have control of you pooch, this is not the park. Parking lot is frequently targeted by smash and grab low life. The view of Mt. Rainier is second to none. Our Shetland Sheepdogs love it.

    nice but could be better

This is a nice park to bring your dog if they have good recall. It's a good size park that has a variety of landscapes for dogs to play in. My main concern with this park is that it's not fully enclosed. Also, it's not very busy so, if you're wanting to socialize as well as exercise your pooch, you may be out of luck.
