Explore this massive man-made cavern beneath the city of Louisville aboard an SUV-pulled tram. Fido can join you on the 60-70 minute tour as you learn about the history of the cavern and mining operations, see cavern formations and a historic replica of a fallout bunker, and enjoy the many other offerings of the Mega Cavern. Your pup must be on a six-foot leash at all times.

It was a wonderful experience being able to take my dog with me. Im impressed at the activities to do at Mega Cavern.

    Very Noisy

The gentleman who conducted our tour was very kind to our dog and the other dogs on the tour, making sure each dog was separated from the other on the tram so that there would be no doggie conflicts. Unfortunately, the tour itself was very loud and a little scary at times for our dog. When you sit up front the speaker system blares at you but I think if we would have sat in the back we probably would've had a hard time hearing it at all. In addition, there was a lot of construction going on within the cavern and the tram simulates drills and warnings at times that were loud and high-pitched. It also gets very dark and can be a little overwhelming with the noise. So the people were very nice but the actual activity was not terribly conducive to take a dog. Also it was a bit strange that they were pumping the porta-potty in the parking lot when we entered so the walk in was a strong smell of sewage.
