Clean dog park with friendly people and pups

My dog and I visited this dog park for the first time today. It is clean with lots of room for the dogs to run. There are two different sections for different size dogs. The owners, and their dogs, were very friendly and welcoming and even told me about the Facebook group. We will be back to visit again soon!

    Nice Park

A nice, basic dog park. I visited with my two yellow labs in July, 2022. As previously mentioned in a review, the google map directions are inaccurate. There are two separate fenced areas, one for small (under 25 lbs) dogs and the other for larger dogs. Double gates to enter and a water spigot nearby. The grass was a little high and there was one shade tree with a benches underneath. There were two other dogs there at the time and they interacted well with watchful owners. It was a clean park overall and it seemed that owners cleaned up after their dogs well. There were bags and a disposal until near the entrance. Good place to get the dogs off-leash and running.

    Nice Location, Watch Other Dogs

The park itself was very nice, but was a little difficult to get to. Make sure you navigate to “Merrymeet Dog Park Parking.” Also, another dog tried to attack my dog while we were here. There are rules listed, but keep an eye on the other dogs. We probably won’t return because it was a bad experience for me dog.

My Favorite Dog Park, The Biggest!

A few tips to make your experience even better! Note, Google map directions are totally wrong! Find water street, go to end, park in parking lot then walk your dog down the walking path about .25-.5 miles, it's after the second over pass. In winter, bring a gallon of water because they have to keep the water off. During mud season bring a towel. Also, your pup can take a dip in the river on your way back to the car. During mud season, if no one is in the small dog section, go through those gates because the puddle (small pond) isn't as bad at the entrance. Enjoy! Our husky loves it!

    Brunswick Park

Very nice park and people. I love how there are two separate enclosures for large and small dogs. There is a walking, and biking path here as well. Also, after the park, dogs can go for a swim in the river from the dock. My dog made his first best friend here and we go once a week at least.

    Beautiful..but the dogs.

I love the way this park was built so that they could run safely and it is beautiful but the majority of dogs that go there are very untrained. Not the parks fault by any means but my dog has been mauled a couple times there. Other than that its a great park.

    The perfect dog park

Great location, 6 foot fencing, benches, shade, running water, poop bags, plenty of room to run - this dog park has it all! 🐾🐾

    What a great place!

We just started going there with our 6 m/o puppy and he loves it. Plenty of space to run with all the other dogs in a safe area. The only thing is that there needs to be more trees or just shade in general. Also the trail around the water is great as well if you want to go walking with your dog too. 4/5 dog park. 5/5 trail.

    Great park for dogs

It's in Brunswick at the very end of Water Street on the riverfront. Walk about 200 yards into the biking/walking trail and it's there. Plenty of water now and shade. My dog had a ball!!

    Doggy Heaven on Earth

Since this park opened my two dogs and I have been there every Saturday. We spend the morning with friends (mine and theirs) drinking coffee (me), playing ball and getting lots of exercise. They get excited the minute we pull onto Water Street. It will be fabulous once the water line is installed so we don't have to carry a gallon of water in.

    Huge dog park

The dog park is great! It is in such a nice location you can walk your dog on the bike path and then let them run around and play with other dogs. It is very big and has benches for people to sit inside the park. I know it is brand new so somethings are not quite finished. Water would be great and a little more shade would be nice. There is one tree in the middle that provides shade.

    Beautiful Park

This dog park is big with high secure fences. I agree it could use more shade, and the water will be a much appreciated addition. Our dog usually likes to take a quick romp in the water at the boat launch on our way home. LOVE this park!

    very nice

It is a great park. Needs more shade especially for the small dog area that gets no shade at all and needs running water nearby.
