Emerson Woods Preserve

Bring Fido to explore the pet-friendly Emerson Woods Preserve in Westwood, NJ. This recreation area features 19 acres of trails you can walk with your dog. The park borders a fenced reservoir with a beach, restroom and parking, which you can access for a nominal yearly fee. Alternatively, you can walk your dog on the border of the reservoir for free and use street parking. Dogs must be leashed at all times throughout the area and please pick up your waste. Great
Just found this spot, I grew up here in Bergen County and never knew about this hidden gem until I got Jeter. Very dog friendly. The people when you see them are nice and all the dogs are just as friendly as the owners. Next year I get the parking pass so Jeter and I can walk the reservoir and beach. For now we will explore the trail. Why 4 bones. Only one bathroom, a rent a john at gate entrance and no water except for lake so bring some for you and your pup. Other than that it's perfect. Also it's in Emerson NJ not Westwood, NJ but that is a small distinction since it's so close to Westwood's border.
