    Columbia, MO Don’t miss!!!

This dog park is impressive with acres of open area to explore and lakes to swim in! There was a wide variety of dogs there as this is a popular park. There were many places for humans to sit and relax with views of the lake. Sadly, the hose for rinsing off was out of order. They would do well to add additional hoses to this area as this is a busy park. Definitely visit this park if you are in the area!

    What a wonderful dog park

Walk through the gate into acres of open spaces for plenty of dog fun. Run, play, chase and swim… repeat!! Lay down rest and start again. Humans can watch the fun and visit with other humans at the same time. What a great place to enjoy everyday or as a trip break like we did.

    Amazing Dog Park!

Wow! not only is it huge but relatively clean for a well-used park. we spoke with a native of the area who said the ponds/lakes do NOT have sewage in them (re: the one negative review) and that his dog swims 4-5 days a week. The other dog owners were friendly and big play advocates of friendly dogs. Yhe one scuffle we witnessed (a puppy just learning manners) was managed immediately and kindly by the hooman. Columbia will now be a must stop when traveling.

    Love This Park

We go during the day and it’s not crazy busy in the large dog part. Lots of room and places to explore. One of my dogs enjoys the other dogs and my other dog enjoys the water! It is a lake so sometimes it is muddy but there are some concrete ramps that help with that. We go every time we are in town (at least once a month).

    Park OK; owners not so

As noted, this is a large, off-leash park, with separate areas for large and small dogs, and ponds in each of these areas. There are 2 major problems with this park. The ponds are converted sewage lagoons, full of muddy water, and with no beaches to speak of, just mud banks. Dogs get very dirty swimming here. Secondly, the dog owners in this town DO NOT pick up their pet's poop. We counted over a hundred piles at Twin Lakes this Sunday (mostly little dog droppings). If you don't mind your dog swimming in muddy, polluted water; and don't mind stepping in somebody's else's dogs dropping then this is a park for you.

    AMAZING!!!

This park is worth the trip to Columbia alone! Massive, massive park with all the amenities. That combined with all the trails and pet friendly hotels in the area make Columbia an ideal location for travel with Fido. This actually pains me to say it a bit because I am a KU Jawhawks fan, but facts are facts. This is an awesome off lease dog park.
