No, Carolyn, this is Not the biggest and best dog park I've been to, either. But Idyllwild is a small town w/ limited space and financial resources. Given these restraints, I've met the best dogs and dog owners here almost every day I've been there. I've been to some beautifully outfitted dog parks, where the dog owners were not friendly and I had not opportunity offered to interact w/ owners and/or their dogs. This has not been the case in Idyllwild. It is rather funky here; not at all like Palm Springs, but we do have a good time and the dogs play until they drop. Why not try us again some day around 4 p.m. and see if you like it any better, aside from its (sort of) lack of aesthetic ambience. The dogs love it, nevertheless.

This is the poorest example of a dog park that I ever experienced. It's filthy! And small. The amount of grass is miniscule. The rest is thick dust or judge.

    Grateful that it's here!

With small dogs, I worry about what could hurt them cause they're not country smart, so this is a great little park for them to have a bit of fun in.

A great place for both human and canine to socialize. Complimentary bags and scoopers for easy pet clean up and convenient parking.

I go there every day and it's great. For a small mountain town, this works well. It's not big, but they can run off leash.
