  Awesome tour, but requires private tour w/dog

  I booked this tour for 3 people and planned on taking my dog. I double-checked the website and the FAQs say, "Dogs are welcome on private tours." I emailed Captain Lorraine and she confirmed that dogs are only allowed on private tours because they've had issues in the past. The private tours start at $299.

  However, if you just want to go on an awesome cruise to see dolphins, sea birds, deer, and Shell Island without your dog, it's 100% worth it. I paid $50/person for the Sunset Dolphin Tour and tipped our captain. And I honestly don't think my dog would have enjoyed it; I'd have been too focused on keeping her safe and she'd have been terrified of the sound and water.

  TL;DR: HIGHLY RECOMMEND, BUT WITHOUT YOUR DOG 👍👍

  Very upset

  We tried to book a cruise of any kind with our tiny shih tzu and were told we would have to book a 400.00 private cruise on any of the tours. This info was very misleading!

  Awesome tour

  fun spot seeing the Atlantic bottle nose dolphins jumping in with them having them swim by you. if you want to stay snorkeling the whole time you can. I also wanted my pup to run across shell island so we went there after. It was isolated and beautiful had my girl running off leash into the water and rolling around the sand.

  These folks are great!

  Captain Lorraine is awesome!! We spent our 29th anniversary on a 3-hour outing watching dolphins and exploring Shell Island with our two chocolate Labs. They couldn't be more accommodating, and we will definitely be back.

  Fur babies 1st time boat ride

  Fur babies had a great time on the first boat ride you should have saw the hair flying in the Wind babies love going to Shell Island and playing on the beach and seeing the birds while on the boat they even got to see a crab up close

  Amazing!!!

  We took my two dogs on a two hour private tour, and they loved it! The guide was great! She put us near some dolphins and let us put one of the dogs in the water. After that, she let us look for shells and sand dollars, and the dogs were able to swim and play. This is a must for us the next time we bring the boys to the beach.

  amazing experience

  Drew, our Captain was amazing! We took a private sunset cruise so the dogs could go too! Drew was very safe and made sure the dogs had a great time. He took us to the best spots to see the most dolphins and even took us to see a sea turtle! Amazing trip!

  Perfect for the pups

  We took our three papillons on the tour and we couldn’t have had a better time. Drew took it very careful over the waves to make sure our pups enjoyed the ride. We’ve decided to do this every year because it’s the most fun so far.

  wonderful

  We went on the sunset cruise with my German shepherd. You have to book a private tour if you have a dog, for safety reasons. The captain was super friendly. We stopped at the state park and fed the deer. It was lovely and my pooch fell asleep on the boat!

  Great Guide and Views

  We went on the two hour tour with our two small dogs. It was a blast! We saw so many dolphins, and our guide, Lorraine, was very fun and knowledgable about local history and wildlife. Definitely recommend this!

  Highlight of our vacation!

  This was a wonderful experience and made even better because we could take our mini aussie with us! Captain Lorraine is very knowledgable about the ocean and it's inhabitants! She doesn't make you feel rushed. It is very personal, relaxed and not cramped at all! We saw dolphins, all kinds of birds, stopped for other passengers to snorkel, took us to Shell Island (which is beautiful) where we looked for shells and she told us the names of shells & helped us look. Took some photos of us and our dog! It was the best part of our vacation! Could have done it every day!!!
