  Fence is easy to get past

  This is a great dog park with two seperate sections. One section has the lake with a beach for swimming and playing and the other is a large space that is completely fenced in with a long sidewalk, benches, water fountain(that is closed at the moment so still bring water), and a small muddy pond in the middle. The section with the lake, however, is fenced in but not all the way. The fence is only on the sand part and doesn’t go far at all into the water so the dogs can easily just walk past. My dog almost walked into people fishing!

  Lots Of In-tacked Makes

  we stopped by as we passed through town and every male dog we came across was in-tacked. my female was constantly being harassed. couple of pit bulls that were aggressive. not sure if this is the norm or a unique afternoon. wouldn’t recommend it

  Nice Dog Park

  Very nice paved walking trail. Mulched and pea gravel off of trail. Nice shade, doggie doo doo bags provided. Visited in the rain several dogs in the park.

  Fully fenced!

  The park is just east of Bryan Stock Trail road, north of the North Platte River, but south of Metro Road. (It had not yet been built in August 2011, when the Google street view was made; it is visible in the satellite view.)

  > I enjoy the freedom of being able to let our dogs roam off-leash, knowing the 6' chain link fence keeps them in.
  > There is a concrete path near the outer edge, about 1/4 mile long, with a bench every so often.
  > The small pavilion in the middle has a picnic table and benches under a roof.
  > Plastic bags are provided for picking up after your dog.
  > There is a working hose next to the gate nearest the road, and a dog-height fountain you can put the water in.
  > There's even a porta-potty for the humans.
  I have not had any problems with other dogs or people here.

  Downsides:
  > The middle of the park fills with a muddy pond in the spring. I usually have to rinse off my dog's legs before leaving.
  > The drinking fountains are broken (as of October 2018).

  Don't let other dogs bite you and get away with it.

  If you or your dog were attacked and bit you should have called the police! You should never let people get away with this type of crime! You call the police and they will make them produce the paperwork and they will be fined and made to pay for your vet bill. Also, you need to carry pepper spray to ward off a vicious dog or person.

  21 Year Old female with a Short Hair Miniature Dachshund.

  I was walking my dog about 6:30 in the morning. My dog is a short hair miniature dachshund. There was a middle age married couple who had three medium sized dogs. The smaller of the three was aggresaive. My dog was walking no more the a foot a head of us, the dogs came charging at her. The smaller one nipped her a few times. She's a timid dog, so her respose was to hide behind us. The other two dogs were pretty much pushing her down/pouncing on her. It took me a few minutes tonpick her up. I was nipped a few times in the process. (When I say nipped it means I was bitten but the skin wasn't broken.) I checked of my dog, she was shaken, she didn't want to be put down. She had little knots where she was nipped on her neck, back legs and tail. I went to find the owners, it was easy finding the because they were the only ones there at the time. I found them by the entrance gate on a bench. You could tell they weren't watching their dogs. I told them what happened, that they should be watching their dogs. That even though the park had a no leash thing that their dogs should be. Showed them the marks on my dog. I asked them if their dogs were up to date on their shots they refused to answer. They kept on saying "this is a dog park", "that maybe I shouldn't brining my dog there because she was so small". I honestly told them that I'm just going to leave and that next time they bring their dogs here they should watch them better and put a leash on them. I when I got home I looked over my dog one more time, I saw that one of the dogs were they had bit her had a few teeth punctures on her back leg. I called my vet, I told her what happened. Since I didn't know if the dogs were up to date on their shots, she needed shots just in case the dogs were sick. In two weeks she needs to get a another booster, then we can put this behind us.

  Please if you know your dog is aggressive to other dogs don't take them to the dog park, or at least have them on a leash.

  If your dog bites anyone or another dog, tell them whether or not your dog is up to date with their shots, etc.

  Lake Mackenzie Dog Park

  I can't find the park...I can't see a photo of it...I don't know anything about it other than it is fenced and by the lake???but nothing about the size of the park and how to get there...what is wrong with this picture? Please...if anyone has been here or if whoever built this site can expound on this....why is there a site without a photo of the attraction?
