    Leashed dogs are welcome on the loop through the Mile Around Woods in North Bennington, VT. Further west (look for the open fields), dogs may be off-leash. During the summer, please ensure that dogs stay out of the endangered grassland birds' nesting site (it's well-marked), and to pick up after Fido at all times. Visit Website

      Plenty of space e to run!

      We stumbled upon Mile Around Woods are grabbing a coffee in North Bennington and we’re pleasantly surprised. For a sunny Saturday in November it wasn’t too busy and both people and dogs were friendly! Off leash/leashed areas are well marked and plentiful. Definitely would recommend!

      Favorite Spot

      Our pups LOVE going on off leash walks at the mile around woods that also connect to private fields that the owners allow respectful people to walk through! Perfect spot to get those zoomies out

      lovely walk around a woods or across fields

      As at equinox you have your choice of routes. Similar to equinox, parking is minimal. You can always park at the Park McCullough house near by and walk over on leash to the mile around. The mile around which is in the woods and the fields not near the PM house are off leash. Again weekends are busier and more little kids on the trails.
