Make sure you get a paper trail map at the entrance to the park. Although the trails looked simple at first, once you get further into the woods, the trails become less marked. The signs at the intersections were not clear or missing. It would be easy to get lost. The trails were pretty narrow but not too muddy for the time of year. The on site buildings were all closed due to COVID.

My dog and I enjoyed ourselves at the swimming area little did we know, that we was in the wrong area, but no one said any difference. Then we went hiking on the trails. She enjoyed her time exploring.

They have a supposed dog beach, but it’s extremely small, no sand or anything. And the small slope to the water is disgusting. I forgot to take pictures. You can take your dogs on the trails, but the trails aren’t pretty and the grass is always overgrown and muddy. I’ve taken my dog 3 separate times and it’s not the greatest experience. It’s fun if you have someone with you and a few other dogs. But this place is extremely basic and I won’t waste my time again.

It is great that this beach allows dogs off leash, however the total water front allotted for the dog beach is about 90 feet. The entry is nicely sloped so dogs can wade out. There are picnic tables and benches nearby.
