  Perfect for a sunny afternoon! Not super bish today. The park is to the left when you enter the parking lot. (So left of the launches, between a rock wall and a sand wall.) Hope you have a great time there like we did!

  Our Dogs Love This Beach!

  Our dogs love this beach! Yes, it’s pretty small & near the boat launch, but we’ve been bringing our 2 pitbulls here for 4+ years, and have NEVER had an issue with anything! We let our dogs go off-leash, & they do just fine. It’s busy on most weekends, but that’s to be expected. Will definitely continue to bring our fur babies here! :)

  It's right by the boat launch. Please tell me intelligent human wants to swim in gas & oil from boats coming and going in and out of Lake Michigan? Not me and not my children...so why would I want my dog in it? To get sick? No thank you. Ludington State Park is just as bad. Ludington caterers to motor boaters who are dirty, rude, careless and heavy drinkers. It does not help that the busy area is not better patroled. Even in my kayak without my dog it's just plain dangerous on Lake Hamlin. Also dogs are not allowed in the river going from Hamlin Lake to Lake Michigan. Humans are dirty. The vast majority of dog owners do clean up after their dogs. Bottom line - truly not dog friendly.
