    Bring Fido out for an afternoon at the pet-friendly Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co. in Portland, ME. The round trip train ride is approximately 40 minutes long and showcases 3 miles of waterfront, including Casco Bay, lighthouses, marinas, forts, parks, and a beach. Leashed dogs are welcome on the train in Coach Class. During warmer months, open-air passenger cars are offered for unobstructed views and excellent airflow.       Super pup friendly!

      We went into one of the open air cars and my girl was able to stick her head out and sniff all the things. She loved all of it!

      Unique experience with your dog!

      My dog loved this! Trains move slowly, lots of space. My dog got to hang her head out the door and watch the world go by. She loved it.

      Allows dogs - but be cautious of sounds

      Great train ride - company was super okay with my pup going in and out of the station and on the train. The staff was also friendly, and the train ride itself was really quaint. My pup, however, got very nervous with the train sounds and the rickety train feelings underneath, so definitely make sure that this is an experience you'd want to put your dog through if they're more timid with sounds and vibrations.

      Beautiful train ride and very dog friendly staff

      Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Co.. & Museum is very interesting and unique with a lovely train ride along part of Casco Bay in downtown Portland. Nice trail to walk along as well. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff who welcome the dogs.
