    Dogs are allowed on the pet-friendly beach of Duck, NC! Here, pups may splash around unleashed, but as a matter of public safety and courtesy, they should be under the watchful eye of their owner. Note that the town does not own public beach access, and access is only found at privately owned community spaces.       So Dog Friendly

      I have had no problem at all bringing my three dogs here for vacation. welcome in stores, off leash on the beach, plenty of rentals to pick from :)

      Love Duck, NC!

      We go to Duck, NC every year because it is so dog friendly. Dogs can play off leash on the beach all day, every day. There are many dog friendly rental homes. There are several bars and restaurants that allow dogs and they can also walk on the boardwalk. Also, the local pet store Outer Barks hosts a weekly Yappy Hour for the dogs at the Blue Point Restaurant. Such a fun town for dogs and humans!

      Awesome Beach

      I specifically picked Duck in the Outer Banks because of the dog friendly beach policy that dogs can be off leash as long as they are under voice command of their owners and they are allowed on the beach all day not just at certain times. We stayed in a dog friendly house walking distance to the beach which was beautiful with a private pool and hot tub within the Southern Shores community which I found online being from Buffalo NY. The booking process was all done online with no problems and so far our stay has been great!! We are here from June 3-10
