    Ticks! Ticks! And More Ticks!

As previous reviewers said, it has lots of trails and meadows, and would have been a wonderful expedition if it hadn’t been for the TICKS!!! Mosquitoes were a problem on some of the woodsey trails - enough that I gave up and headed back to the more open meadowy trails, but when I got my dog into the car to leave - TICKS! All over her, and jumping off into my car! I’ve never SEEN so many ticks on a dog!! This was the last half of June. Maybe it was just the wrong time of year? Or just a bad year for ticks?

    great adventure

Adkins is definitely dawgie friendly. Situated near Maryland State Park -Tuckahoe it offers miles of wooded upland & significant freshwater habitat to explore with your best furry friend. The Staff are friendly and knowledgable on the diverse flora throughout. Great place for kids too!
