  Great place to explore

  Great paths to explore, and great access to water. I went mid October on a Monday so it wasn't very busy. I think it would be a lot less fun during the summer. Sign said dogs must be on leash or under control.

  Quick walk to the beach

  Nice quick walk to get to the beach. There are even poo bags on the path to the beach. It is so nice to have a dog friendly beach. Be a little careful getting to the beach there are a handful of stairs to go down to get to it.

  Great little beach

  This a great little beach to bring your pups to! I brought my 3 labs here and we were able to navigate through people to a secluded end of the beach and hang out unleashed for an hour. The beach remains shallow for quite a ways out from the beach which is nice and low impact/high cooling reward for the pups.
  4 bones instead of 5 for a couple reasons: a) it was super busy when we went during the morning on a Wed. and the path to the beach get pretty congested with folks taking pictures of structures, and b) the beach is super sandy and smooth right in front of the light house but we went further up the beach to get some space from folks and it was all river rocks on the bottom or shells on the beach (bring your water shoes and I was hesitant to have the dogs chase balls in case they twisted something). These are certainly not major knocks or deal breakers, just food for thought. All in all, thumbs up from us!
  Note for fellow RVers: the parking lot was tiny and packed, but there is a sign directing RVs to park along the road just outside the parking lot. That was my big q, could I bring my rig and yes you can! I would not the road dead ends and loops back onto itself. I imagine longer than 30-35’ might need to finesse the turn as it’s not the widest angle.

  Great Morning

  This was our second visit and it just gets nicer either each trip. The beach is perfect for everyone to enjoy (swimming, walking, watching the waves).

  Beautiful beach

  We had a lovely time with our dog at the Mission Point Lighthouse beach! Great memories and the water was beautiful.

  Knee deep

  We had a great time today. The beach is beautiful - especially around sunset - and it’s sparsely populated to boot (at sunset when we went)! The water is about 2 ft deep for about 100 yds so we played a long game of fetch without a ton of paddling. The leashed or under control rule made the fetch even better for our pups.

  Awesome Trail

  Our golden retriever was having a blast roaming around the trails! It was a very nice and relaxing spot.

  Nice for a quick visit

  Our Ollie liked eating the sand. It’s a cute park and the light house and views were really pretty!

  Gorgeous locations, very peaceful

  A large sandy beach and trails through the woods. Dogs are not allowed in the Lighthouse but this is a fabulous place to visit with your dog.

  Not An Off Leash Dog Beach

  I read this was off leash but it is not. Not much beach this time of year but the water is beautiful.

  My Favorite Place on Earth!

  I love this park. It is relatively quiet early in the day and there is a lot of room to walk on the beach!

  Beautiful spot and beach. Very peaceful and love that you can spend time with your dog.
