    dry with freeway noise

This is an ok hike that was close to home for me but I found hear the freeway entire time it felt kinda urban. Plus there is a dried up stream, with standing water, my lab of course went straight for it to take a dip but I got her out quickly, probably not the greatest water for them. It’s also hot and dry on this trail but there are shady spots. I heard at other times of year the stream is moving so might be nicer.

    Warning: Coyotes

This park is overrun with coyotes right now and people's dogs are being killed by them. This is just open space and people are letting the dogs off leash and it's very dangerous.

    Fun!

The trail was mostly flat and my dog and I were able to get through it rather easily. It’s very grassy and wooded though, which resulted in my pulling off 5 ticks from my dog when we got home. But the hike itself was great.

    Relaxing walk

We took our Westhighland terrier here and walked around the trails for about an hour or so. He normally gets tired quickly, so the nice flat trail was perfect for him. Lots of shade (december morning) and steeper side trails to keep it interesting. Recommended for a leisurely walk/hike!

    Pretty Nice!

While this isn't a tough hike, it IS a very nice one! Scenic, not crowded (at 2pm on a Saturday), plenty of shade and sunny areas, paths are well maintained, and there's restrooms at the trailhead. If you start at from the East lot off of Regents Rd, and hike it to San Clemente park, and back, it's about an hour with a dog.
