    My doggies loved It

yesterday it was the first time there. they couldn’t believe that they were allow to be off leash (in the special off leash area) elsewhere than in the doggie park. They played first with other doggies on a open spot and than we could train them to walk without a leash until this area ended. It was not the last time we have been there.

    Awesome off leash area

First time letting my dog off leash in a big open space like this. He had a blast. Lots of friendly dogs. Big area to sprint around. Lots of new smells for my puppy. We’ll definitely be back.

Trash Cans have been added ✅

Yeah, thank you MROSD, you guys rock! This place is great. Lots of trails, of varying length, mostly shady, and an off leash area in the middle. The off leash is surrounded by an old paved road. But, inside the road are trees and trails. When I walk it, I am only on the road long enough to cross it and then to walk out the top of the off leash area.

I think this place is awesome because it actually takes effort to get to the off leash, so people can’t just drive up and dump their dog inside the fence. This keeps it a bit quieter.

A couple things to be aware of (1) the off leash area is not “fenced in”, only a split rail fence, so if your dog is a runner be cautious (2) POISON OAK and lots of it.

Fun For Dogs And Their Humans!

Took my dog here on a weekday in January, and its was pretty quiet there. The off-leash area is big, and clearly marked. The hikes are challenging enough to make it interesting, but not too hard to make you hate yourself. On top of that, the views are awesome and there’s some interesting plant life and lots of birds. It’s a very beautiful area for sure, and easy to get to. Pack lots of water, especially on hot days.

The one downside is that there aren’t any trash cans in the park (including the parking lot) so if your dog poops on the trail you need to carry it with you out, and they do request you remove it instead of just knocking it off the trail.

    Hilly; nice off-leash area

This is good hiking, semi-steep with lots of switchbacks, depending on which trail you take.

The on-leash trails are shady and, while popular on weekends, not crowded.

The off-leash area is a paved road, so you lose some of the nice nature feel. It's also a long semi-steep climb, so not suitable for those who prefer a flat stroll. But it's a really big area, not like a dog park at all. My dog loves it and we both get some good exercise when we go here.
