Freetown-Fall River State Forest is dog friendly. Located within the Bridgewater Triangle of Assonet, MA, this forest sprawls out over 5,000 acres across the Massachusetts back-country. The area is not for the faint-hearted, however, as it's long been known as a spooky and mysterious place, stretching all the way back to the tumultuous times of Native tribes and early settlers. You can explore this stunning place along 25 miles of trails, but make sure Fido remains on a leash for the duration of your visit.

Today was our first time there. Sadie loved it. It wasn’t crowded at all. Easy parking. You have to pay attention to trail markers as there are a lot of trails for various uses.
