    Great for a swim!

This has been one of our favorite spots for years. on a warm summer evening, the boat launch is a great place to let your dog swim.

    Leashes required

Nice place to walk in off season, but can get very crowded in summer.

As with most MA state parks, LEASHES ARE REQUIRED.

A brief swim for my dog

A local resident suggested Hopkinton State Park. Terrific place! Lots of trails and places to walk. But, since it was a hot day, I took my 14 year old dog to the boat landing area (at the reservoir). It's very scenic (lots of people out on the water), and my dog enjoyed playing in the cool water. Cost is 5 dollars for entry into the entire park. Important: 1) I didn't see any snack bars (so bring your own). 2) I didn't see many garbage cans or bathrooms. (I'm sure they're somewhere).. 3) The parking will fill up fast. (When we arrived we parked next to the water. When we left, they were directly cars much further away... Overall, it was a great stopover for our road trip!
