Crawford Notch State Park

Fido is welcome to join his owners at the pet-friendly Crawford Notch State Park in Harts Location, NH. This 5,775-acre recreation area is home to numerous hiking trails, waterfalls, fishing, wildlife viewing and spectacular mountain views. Leashed pets are permitted in all park areas except inside the Willey House. Dog owners are reminded to clean up any mess their pup leaves behind. Visit Website

Outstanding hikes for dogs
We opted to take the trail up to Ripley Falls. Plenty of parking both roadside and up a steep hill near the trailhead. This .6 mile (each way) hike is moderately intense in places, but pretty easy most of the way up and back. Your reward is a beautiful set of falls, ideal for dogs to swim (although quite cold!). Pack in and out. Note that there is no cell service here.
