    Great quiet park

Went a few weeks ago and the park is very large and the fences are tall (I have a fence climber). It has two areas for small and large dogs. There is a water fountain and hose to cool off your pups, several shaded Pavilions for people to sit, and trees to provide share for your dogs too.

    Sub par

my dog and I used to frequent this location but it has seemed to have fallen off over the last 2/3 years. I understand the upkeep is tough as it’s a central location we need for our best friends to play but the terrain has became a lot more dust and dirt.
Another gripe I have is that the popularity has gone down as well. if we go during the week we’re lucky if there’s another dog to meet and be friends with. sometimes we get lucky but more times than not it’s not worth going to.

    First time

I thought it was going to be really busy given the holiday but it was not at all. a few dogs was a great start to my dogs first dog park. All the dogs were super friendly with owners paying attention and picking up poop as required.

    LOTS Of Space To Run!

We found Al Lopez when we moved in a minute up the road. Not only is it a huge park, it has miles of walking trails with not to bad of a view! I always keep an eye on my girl though, as I’ve seen a few dogs (and people!!) get attacked here due to their owners negligence.

Big, heavily shaded with available bags and water. Worth checking out 🐾

    love it

This park is nice and spacious with plenty of shady trees and room to run as well! There are several benches for owners to sit and two doggy fountains for your pal to drink from. It's a honor system to poop scoop after your dog and a majority of the owners are great about it! The park provides bags for you. There is a small dog section as well! Over all great park and experience here!

    Nice Park

I can't believe that this beautiful park with trees and terrain and ample seating and shade and water stations is so poorly rated here. Go bake in the sun while your dog digs into the mud pit at Logan Gate if you need some perspective. This is a very nice park.

Yes, Tampa has rain and flooding issues. The city is maybe 15 feet above sea level.

And yeah, it's a shame about some owners, but this park is cleaner than the street near my house where nobody picks up after their dogs.

    Excellent park!

I think the lady from Boston was prob there during our rainy season. That's what happens in FL after our afternoon rain. ;). I was there in Jan 2015 and the dog areas were well kept. Owners were picking after their dogs and the grass was short (granted it is winter time).

    Tidy up!

This park was a blast for my dog! However, the grass was much too long. There was plenty of shade and lots of room for the big dogs to run around. Another problem was it seemed to be always flooded. If you dont want your pet parading through puddles and disgusting water, this park is not for you.

I recently adopted a beagle from Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue at the park. What a wonderful experience! AL lopez park and the folks of TBBR are top notch.

    Watch your step!

Very disappointing.. I just a couple of months ago liked this park for my dog. But now, dog owners just are not cleaning up after their dogs. I will not go back.
