  Good park

  The dog park is a fenced in area with a patch of grass surrounded by a dirt track. There is a shade structure with a couple benches and water available. The park is big enough for my Retriever mix to get some good sprints in chasing the ball but not really big enough to wear him out. We've been 3 or 4 times, it's usually empty or the people from the local neighborhoods come in for 10 to 20 minutes and leave again. So, it's not a great place to socialize dogs. When other people have been there, they are friendly. Its busiest time is wednesdays when the Wardlaw Dog park is closed for mowing.
  The thing I like about this park, and the reason we'll be going back, is that there is a kids playground attached to the dog park, separated by a field bigger than the patch of grass inside the dog enclosure. so, when we have our niece and nephews, the kids and the dog can run free.

  Great Place for the Big Dogs!

  Since we usually take our dogs out to our property to run around, they needed more socialization around other dogs. We started bringing our three, large, rambunctious Border Collies to this park, to play ball or frisbee, a few years ago. They really love having other dogs to play with, & the wide tan bark strip around the field is great, so you only have to walk on the grass to do "pick ups", or if the grass is really wet after the rain. We've also noticed that more people who come here seem to pick up after their dogs, than at other dog parks that any other one we've been to, (including the Dog Park in Vallejo, which is also nice). It may be "no frills", but there's a large water bowl, & a faucet, so you can clean the bowl before & after your dog uses it, & they also offer the good "pick up" bags, with the black double lining, making pick up easy. There are benches for dog owners to take a break on as well. The majority of people I've met here are very friendly, not "clickish", like some dog parks. There's plenty of room for bigger dogs to run & play, also. I really don't know what "extras" some people think are lacking, since this park has all the basics our dogs need for a good romp.

  Good park

  9-5-2014 Nothing fancy here, but it's conveniently close to me, so we go here a lot. It's not a very big park, but it's relatively well-kept, there's a water bowl and there are always waste bags. It's at one end of a park that includes some paved trails, a picnic area and kids' park, too.

  Friendly people and nice dogs, our dogs had a great time and got to meet with other dogs.

  It's better than OK

  It's kept up well, they provide bags for picking up after your dog, there is a good park with playground equipment for the kids, and water for the dogs. We bring our dog her here most often because it's such a nice park!

  It is basically just on oval of grass in the center with a 4 to 5 foot perimeter of wood chips. No trees or shade. Just a good place for your dog to play fetch.
