It was fine, but a lot of cons.

This park first off makes you pay $8 for a day pass. Where I am from they are all free so I think it is outrageous. The fence is on the lower side and kind of unstable. They do not provide water either so make sure you bring your own. My dog is one that will run away if given the opportunity so in my opinion this park is way to big for a dog that needs to have eyes kept on her at all times. The small dog side is for dogs that are 18 inches or shorter at the top of their head, again where I am from it is 30 pounds or under. I only ever saw one other person in the small dog side because the restriction only allows for very small dogs. My dog is on the small side but she is tall so the park police told me she could only go in the big dog side even though no one was in the small dog side. The whole situation felt unsafe to me and I know other people that said their dog ate something that got them very sick and another person who said that there are fights there quite often. It worked in my situation because I was traveling and just needed a place for my dog to run and go potty but she had to be monitored the entire time. I have been to much better.

    Excellent Dog Park

This is an excellent dog park. It is fenced, and they even have a separate area for small dogs. There are water bowls near the picnic tables, but you have to bring your own water. There are usually plenty of other dogs to play with, but the park is so big, that the dogs can have their space if they want it. My dog absolutely loves this park!

    My dog got bite here

I have gone to this park for years. I enjoy the space and the people who go there. However, on August 25, 2017 my puggle went to play with another dog and got bite. I don't believe there was any instigation. The other dog may have been protecting his ball. There were 2 punctures and I had to take my dog to the vet and put him on antibiotics plus spray applicant. I was not aware how serious it was when it happened so I did not talk to the owner. I want other people to be aware that not all dogs are friendly and some owners don't take responsibility for that.

    Nice park

Medium-sized park with nice trails. Jennifer of "Fido" - you are an idiot!!!! Get your dog to the vet and have a bordatella vaccine done - you don't even have to pay for a vet visit, the tech can do it. This is like saying you won't go to work any more because you caught a cold there. It's sure not the park's fault. Anybody who takes their dog to a park or daycare or boarding should know enough to get the dog vaccinated.

    Fido

My dog loves this park, and so did I until he contracted Kennel Cough. This is the only location my dog comes in contact with other dogs. I guess I can't take him there anymore.

    Nice Park

A nice dog park with a gravel path around the perimeter. Lots of open grassy space for dogs to play, and the small amount of agility equipment is fun too!

    Good, but...

I have been bringing my dog to this dog park for most of the summer. It has been a great experience until about one week ago. One person with an aggressive dog can ruin a park. A dog owner brought a black poodle that was VERY frisbee aggressive. She was playing fetch with her dog away from the other playing dogs in the park. My dog and I were walking around the park when my dog decided to go play with this owner's dog. The dog began lunging at my dog and the owner grabbed her dog and began cussing me out. My dog is the friendliest dog in the world and there was no reason to be angry at her. I do not understand why anyone would bring an aggressive dog to a dog park. That is absolutely crazy! Also, I have never seen an aggressive poodle. Because of this dog owner and his/her aggressive dog, I will no longer be going to Badger Prairie dog park. Please, be responsible dog owners. If your dog is aggressive in ANY way, do NOT bring them to a dog park.

    Ms.

We travel to this area to visit relatives several times a year and our dog goes with us. This is our favorite off-leash dog park of almost all the ones we've had our dog in. It is larger than most dog parks and has nice crushed limestone trails so humans can hike and keep in shape along with their dogs. There is a yearly fee for use of the park and since we find ouselves in the area at least twice a year for three or four days at a time we gladly pay the permit fee which is only $14.00 yerly for us senior citizens. (Fee is slightly higher if you are not a senior citizen.) The only bad experience we had was when someone bought food into the park to eat while watching thier dogs. Bad idea and should be stressed in the rules posted at the gates.
