      Nice, small dog, off leash yard!

      Took my 2 Xoloitzcuintli puppies here for first time yesterday during our afternoon visit from Surrey BC to Mt. Vernon and was a pawsitive experience! Area was clean during our visit and had whole thing to ourselves for that half hour! Will likely return when we return later this month!

      At the end of the drive

      Decent sized yard type spot at the back end of the park. Most pups and parents are friendly and keep a respectful space bubble. As long as you are attentive to your pup, you can get a good little workout in while getting to properly socialize your furbaby.
      Water fountain and shelter are usually accessible as well.

      Good For The Small Dog Run

      Not much to do for Fido but bring a toy and you will have a bond they won’t forget!

      Mud

      I go to Sedro Woolley dog park because there is way to much mud in these rainy winter months at Bakerview. No fun for me or my dog. To be successful some type of drainage needs to happen. It could be great!! and I wouldn't have to travel so far.

      Nice addition for Mt.Vernon

      The dog park is spacious, fenced and now has a covered picnic table and water (except during Winter).
      Surface is bark and gravel. I have never had problems with bad owners or dogs here.
      No trees or natural vegetation is the only negative.
      These may take time (& money).

      New Park

      Great Mount Vernon location. With community support, we could make this a great asset to the neighborhood. New facitily is still primitive, but plenty of room to throw balls, play, and enjoy the tunnel!
