    Good sized dog park

This was just across the street from dog friendly hotel and there was a pedestrian bridge to get there. Dog park was large and had agility equipment for large dogs. No one was there which was perfect for my 6 month old doodle. There was lots of poop around though.

    Close to dog-friendly motels

This park is a good size, plenty of room to chuck the ball. Lots of stands with bags to handle waste. There’s shade with picnic tables and buckets of water for the dogs, refillable by a near-by spigot. Many of the users are fellow travelers staying at the motels located about .2 miles away. Would definitely come here again.

Great dog park to run around!

This was a great dog park-nothing fancy but a large fenced in area allows dogs to run around. Plenty of space to throw Chickit

    Great Park

hey, so we never actually found the dog section, but we got a great walk in a beautiful space with lots of things for our dog to sniff and see. I recommend it because we could have a picnic, use the restroom which was clean and tidy and outdoor was happy!

Like the track and large area to roam

There are two ways to walk to the dog park from the parking lot. The long scenic way is to walk downhill towards bear creek, and take a left following the creek until you hit the dog park. The creek is a nice paved path to have a leashed walk. The other way cuts immediately left of the parking lot on a path next to the BMX bike area. This way is slightly shorter.

This park has lots of picnic benches, some of which are fully covered. The large dog area is great and has a large gravel track around the perimeter with benches all around. This park has the largest fenced area in the valley. As with all dog parks, some days there are some poorly behaved dogs, but for the most part there’s great pups and owners. The small dog area is pretty much always in disrepair. If you have a small dog that can’t hang with the big ones for medical reasons (eg. puppy vax or old age), Hawthorn Park may be a better choice. Most of the time I just see small dogs playing with the big ones which is great for socializing them anyways. This park has shaded areas and large open fields. I think the ponds discussed in the description are just sections of the creek which are outside the fenced areas.

    Convenient to I-5

This is a small part of a much larger park. The fenced area is nice enough; I've stopped here several times over the years with different dogs and have never had a problem. Clean restrooms near the parking lot is also a huge perk.

    Not Impressed

The write-up of what this dog park should be couldn't be further from the truth. The area is dirty, there are no "bone shaped" lakes, and no one really picks up after their pets. I take my 2 pups there weekly only becasue it is the only off-leash dog park in Medford, but man this is far from nice to say the least. Wish I was back in Bend where there are multiple dog parks with much nicer trails and areas.

    Muddy Park

This park may have an underground pipe leak because it has a wet puddle. My dog was filthy after running around there.most of the owners appear responsible.however the last time I was there everyone was talking about a pit bull owner that took off the dog's muzzle and it proceeded to break the neck of a small dog and they had to ram water down the dog's throat to dislodge it from the poor little dog. I was horrified to hear this. My dog picked up a virus or kennel cough one other time. On the positive side the park has a walking trail around the perimeter of this 2 acre grassy area. There's also a private fenced in area with a picnic table to use adjacent to the dog play area. This park needs attention as there are many people who use it...but go early and take a zapper and pepper spray just to play safe whenever you go walking with your dog.
