    First Dog Park

My 1 year old dog had an absolute blast. Read through the other reviews before leaving and was a little leary.

*The fenced area is small for a dog park, but larger than most backyards

*There is bark dust so not as much mud as I was expecting.

*All dogs that came while we were there were friendly and not at all aggressive

    Fine but simple

***DO NOT let your dog drink from the creek, bring water with you!***

We come here once a week or so. It's about a 5 min drive from my house so I only bring my pup here when we're running out of daylight to go to a more exciting dog park. The park itself is little and is a big oval where the owners awkwardly stand around (there are two benches that can fit 2-3 people) and make small talk. My dog isn't a fetcher, so sometimes I show up and nobody is there and we just leave to walk the trails till the sun goes down. I generally prefer the Rainier Woods Park up Shaw road because there are trees and grass, and enough room to spread out a bit.

    Glad we went!

Read the previous reviews and was hesitant about going. We were staying 5 minutes away and decided to take a chance. The entire dog park has been filled with mulch! People we met said it's much better with the mulch. We're here for a few days and will go back again. We live full time in our RV and travel around quite a bit and try to take the four legged one to dog parks if there isn't one in the RV Park.

    Okay

It's nice to have a place to let our big dog off the leash. The downside is that it is a small fenced in area that is primarily dirt. Luckily it was dry today, dusty though. They have 2 water jugs for the dogs to drink from. For us it is okay, but if someone has a small dog it isn't as nice for them as there is not a 2nd fenced area for the smaller pups to play. Hardly seems fair - the big dogs do take over. Lots of really well behaved, fun dogs - no issues with owners. No leftover dog excrement.

Horrible off leash area. All dirt... two small benches. When I went, there was a couple with 8-9 yr old boys playing soccer in that small area. Using most the area. Their Dad was even playing.I had to keep one of my pets on a leash because he will bite rough housing kids.

No seating...no grass...no fresh water. No one cleans up after their dogs when I was there. We filled up two Walmart bags just walking to the park.

    Mr.

My first visit is my last.!st off...no signs to where the off-leash area is.Worst dog park I've ever been to.No on cleans up after their pets.Crap everywhere.Parents with one small dog allowing older boys to play soccor in that small area...St00pid people.Small kids should not be allowed to play in an area with loose dogs. Some dogs dont like kids to start withSigns should be posted.Kidss have the whole park to rough house and run..Needs grass to be grown. You have to wash your pets when you go home.No fresh water.

Bad Dog Park in my opinion

Looked at the ONE review that was repeated 4 times, and decided that it wasn't worth trying to go there, PLUS we're lil guys that can't enjoy ourselves because of the UNWATCHED BIG DOGS

    Good size, but needs work

The park is large enough to use a chuckit without worrying about losing the balls and there's benches and to sit on.

However, the ground is a foot or so of sand. There's some grass in the back but nothing substantial. The water is another concern I have., usually the only stuff available is a stagnant communal bucket.

I continue to take my dogs here because it's the only off-leash area for miles. But If grass were allowed to grow and fresh water piped in it would be far better.

    Good doggy social spot

I like this dog park because it is small enough to foster socializing between the dogs. Some larger parks are so large our dog didn't really come in contact with the other dogs very much. I guess it depends on what the owners want to have their dogs do, play by themselves or play with other dogs. We are trying to socialize our pooch so Puyallup's dog park suits well.

    muddy and big dawgs reign

This park is all mud...and dirt...the big thing is the big dogs take over the whole dang park. and most of the owners will not make them mind. Thus....the smaller dogs get banged around.. so if your looking for a fun place to take the smaller ones......this is NOT the p[lace...
