Hiller Park

Hiller Park is a dog-friendly park in the community of McKinleyville, CA. This 36-acre park offers 1.5 miles of trails to explore with Fido, and a designated off-leash area anywhere west of the split rail fence. Facilities include a children's playground, picnic tables, a barbecue area, and restrooms. The park is open from 8am to 8pm daily, and the gates are locked promptly at 8.15pm. Visit Website

Keep An Eye On Your Dog
because the dog area is undenied, people are attentive to where their dog is and what it’s doing and how it’s behaving. But while we were there, all dogs were friendly and basically sweet. This park was highly recommended by a local person who lives at the RV park in Arcata.

Great Park For Obedient Dogs
This park is great for one of my two dogs, but the older, who is becoming deaf and is also disobedient, has trouble at this park because of its lack of barriers. The field is not fenced in so if you are not careful the dogs can run to the trails or to the parking lot. That being said, it is probably the best place for dogs in the area.
