    Better then nothing

This dog park is ok. It’s 40/60 dusty fine gravel and patchy grass respectively, not a great combo for wet tennis ball. There are water fountains are located in each of the fenced areas but more often then not they aren’t functioning. We have run into some aggressive dogs there and many people bring their unspayed/un neutered dog in which is against the posted rules. As previously stated it’s better then nothing but drive a little further if you have the time. Your fur-friend is worth it.

    My dog loves this park!

My 4 month old puppy loves this park. We go almost every evening. He gets to run and roll around with the other dogs, socializing and burning off energy. We’ve met some really nice people there as well. Nothing fancy but large fenced in areas, some shade, benches and water fountains for the dogs.

Great Park But Not So Great People

I love this park. I’ve been going for years and recently have started to take my new puppy about three times a day. She goes in both sections because she is too big for the small dogs but still too little for the big dogs. But I am a dog trainer and she does fine in both but people who do not have their dog trained in any way do tend to come her a lot. Some dogs don’t get along and the owners don’t tend to do anything so please please be careful with your dog. And if you’re dog does not do well with other dogs DONT BRING THEM! Also many people let their dogs run to the gate when you are walking in which is very stressful and causes a lot of tension and most likely leads to some nipping.

    Location

The entrance is located on Heavenly Farms Park Rd just off of Dunham’s Corner Rd. The park is clean and friendly with some nice shade trees and benches. Separate areas for small and large dogs. It is not a big park but it is big enough for the dogs to sniff and socialize.

    Not There Anymore

I was there last night (4/15/19) and the area the fencing was gone from the area that looked like it was for the dog runs. Wish there was a notice somewhere about that. Feel like I wasted my night.

    large space

The park has both small and large dog sections that are huge. Lots of space to run. There’s usually a stock of tennis balls that my dog likes to find. There is a gravel area towards the front section and grass in the back half. When it recently rained, the gravel kicks up and my white dog ends up grey. It’s much better than the mud at the Donaldson Park dog run and the people are much friendlier. We love to visit!

    Needs More Rules

There needs to be more rules as to what size a "small" or "large" is. We brought our 7 lb. Yorkie to be in the Small Dog section. There was only one other dog in there at the time - about a 40 lb. Golden Doodle. This dog started ferociously attacking our dog while the owner just stood by saying "I can't stop him". The owner did not even try to stop his dog - clearly an inexperienced fist time dog owner. Completely idiotic and clueless. In my opinion that is a "large" breed and he should have been on the other side - secondly - don't bring a dog you have no control over. People can't use dog parks as a way to get a terror of a dog out of their house.
