Great little grassy park for pups to play

There are fenced off sections for small and large dogs.

Countless studies have linked the air pollution emitted from sewage plants to a serious health risk: a rise in exposure to sfaff infections (MRSA)
It is in an abomination that the town of Greenwich, Connecticut or any town in the United States would permit a human or animal to live in or come in proximity to a sewage plant.
It figures that a Connecticut town, even the tony town of Greenwich, locates e a dog park, as well as a community of human inhabitants, right next to a sewage treatment plant.
There are far better dog parks and walking trails in Connecticut to take your dog vs. this toxic dog park in Greenwich.

    Visited once- never no more!

Sewage smells, steep slope, you can slide on the s**t - dogs will be dogs- but they can't pick up after themselves! Simply awful- wouldn't throw it a bone 'cept not given that option.

    it is a dog park...but

As a dog walker, I have to say that it is will me enough for the small to medium breed and a large dog here and there. However, the gating needs to be repaired as there are many spots where smaller dogs can get through or under an escape. Also you can find pieces of plastic or glass coming up in the dirt due to whatever was in that space before. Yes the water treatment does occasionally smell like chemicals and that's a drawback but I'm glad to have somewhere to go with the dogs so they can be more socialized and I can also talk to other humans!

    Next to Sewage Treatment Plant

Come on! Next to the Sewage Treatment plant?
If I can't handle the pungent smell, imagine what the dogs must smell with 10x our sense of smell.
People and dogs are friendly at the park.
Great views of Sewage Treatment Process.
    Cat lovers must be laughing!

Not too impressive but at least!

But at least there IS a dog park there! I come from Westport HUGE off leash dog park acres. GREAT. I go to Greenwich where my bf lives and that is the only off leash park in the area. you can hear the plant and see it in front of you. it is a tiny space for the dogs but ample i guess. i often go there and there is a dog or two, thats it. not a big playdate! but i am pleased that at least there is 'something' there off leash. it does not afford you the opportunity to talk a long walk with your dog off leash as in Westport. you just sit on a bench or throw a ball and risk stepping in poop.

First dog, so first dog park...

...but a nice experience every time I've been. I never noticed any smell from the plant, but it's winter / early spring so maybe when it heats up? You will smell low tide though since it is on the water.

I echo what someone else on another site said - if your dog really starts playing and rolling around with other dogs, they will come home FILTHY, have a damp rag handy. I don't blame Greenwich, trying to grow grass with all that foot traffic must be a nightmare.

My only issue is with the other owners (-1 bone), it's very social there and everyone seems friendly, but I think some owners get distracted and as a result the far end of the park (and even the walk in sometimes) is like a mine field, you really need to watch where you step.

I would take away another bone because the enclosed area is not that big (about 1/3rd of an acre) but there is a nice little nature trail you can go walking with your dog for some on-leash exercise before or after.

    Ms.

Decent space - water availability a plus. The only drawback is that it is adjacent to the sewage treatment plant and after a short time there, we had to leave because of the wafting smell.
